Much more than an hotel

The Palazzo del Sonno – the sleep villa, in Florence has been awakened by the arrival, this June, of the Student Hotel project. This collection of hotels is designed to connect students, leisure and business travelers, creative nomads and enterprising minds in co-living and co-working areas. This itinerant community is rapidly expanding throughout Europe and has just landed in Florence.

The Student Hotel, a stone’s throw from the centre and located in front of the Fortezza da Basso, is a co-living and co-working area with the most spectacular panoramic views on the Tuscan capital. The area is 20,000 m² and offers 390 rooms. It was originally built in 1864 for diplomatic use and has recently been turned into a creative centre for travellers, students, workers, entrepreneurs, young professionals and locals alike. The TSH Firenze Lavagnini has a mix of 390 rooms suitable for young and old travellers for stays of one night to up to one year. The rooms are en suite and range from 15 square meters for single rooms to family rooms of 65 square meters. The common areas are animated by a mix of traditional local materials, colourful graphics and geometric patterns.
