Theater, dance and music in the greenhouses of Albenga
Terreni Creativi is the multidisciplinary festival conceived by Kronoteatro that takes place on the farms in the hinterland of Albenga and arrives this year, on 9, 10 and 11 August, at its tenth edition.
The goal of Terreni Creativi is the enhancement of the territory through the spread of theatrical culture, contemporary dance, music and the Ligurian food and wine tradition. The choice of these unusual locations – the production spaces of some local farms – stems from the desire to promote the weaving of economic and cultural fabric, through the use and enjoyment of places that are unknown to the majority of the population and of great charm. The Terreni Creativi festival draws, from its first edition, a high number of spectators, journalists, critics and national operators. The public is called upon to live for a whole evening inside the productive spaces of the farms, suitably rearranged and made convivial and show places.
Each of the three evenings of the festival takes place from sunset to late at night and in this time the audience sees four theatrical performances, each evening different. Every evening then ends with live music or the DJ set and still the chance to be together having fun and relaxing. The festival has received important national awards such as the Garrone Prize and the ReteCritica Award (as the best communication project) and in these ten years has established itself as one of the most important events on the Italian scene for what concerns contemporary theater and research. The festival will also have its appendix in the historic city center this year: the project “If this is Levi” a traveling performance on the work of Primo Levi by Fanny & Alexander, unraveling the three festival nights, will in fact inhabit the Civic Library and the Council Chamber of the Municipality of Albenga.
