Roberto Cavalli meets Candela

This exotic collection for autumn 2018 evokes tropical and Mediterranean flavours, meeting ebullient Candela Pelizza for the occasion.

Strong and magnetic, Candela is an incredibly sensual lady who likes to mix long embroidered dresses with striped trench coats, comfortable jumpsuits with bustiers encrusted with semi-precious stones and mini dresses that wrap around the body. This new form of luxury smacks of freedom and distant worlds. This is Roberto Cavallis woman interpreted by Candela Pelizza. Originally from Argentina, she began her modelling career in Italy. Today, as one of the most iconic models, she radiates a sunny and dynamic spirit.
These traits pushed creative director Paul Surridge to choose Candela to embody his collection for 2018 with a free, dynamic and active mood.
Inspired by summer gardens and a Mediterranean feel, he painted romantic floral prints without a drop of nostalgia. This seductive wardrobe strikes a perfect balance between severity and shimmering sensuality, while placing an emphasis on fluidity and movement.

Fluid overcoats and dresses are decorated with floral prints and precious details in the 2018 autumn Roberto Cavalli collection by Paul Surridge. Digitally edited, these flowers take on an abstract quality on long silk chiffon dresses, with sharp cuts and drapes. The dresses are worn under thick jumpers and luxurious patchwork fur jackets. The focus on day-wear is revealed in a series of trenches, coming in zebra-striped motifs on denim, laser-cut leather, silk, and fringed edges. Tweed jackets and black silk and wool tuxedo jackets with an hourglass waist bring an equestrian and classy touch to the ensemble.
