The new campaign shoot
Salvatore Ferragamo has entrusted his spring/summer campaign to photographer Peter Lindbergh, making suggestive shots that build a story Among Friends.
World-famous fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh has always linked his art to the language of fashion. One of the most influential photographers of his generation with 40 years of career under his belt, he has told the evolution of female beauty and contributed to the ascent of supermodels in the 90s. A collaboration was born from the idea of the new creative director, who decided to engage Lindbergh for the spring/summer 2017 advertising campaign. The stage is a Mediterranean dream landscape reinterpreted in contemporary tones.
Ferragamo – usually associated with Florence and Tuscany – this time has chosen the views of Sicily and Taormina. A marine landscape forms the background to images of life that revolve around model Lily Aldridge, Andres Velencoso and McKenna Hellam, captured in everyday life scenes with real friends.
Since 1927 Salvatore Ferragamo has always been accustomed to the international style of Italian luxury for accessories and shoes. Real works of art that aim to celebrate beauty. Among the rocks and lush gardens of Sicily, a collection for men and women comes to life with a summery, light and relaxed allure. For men, shirts and trousers come in cerulean blue, while the sea and sky come together in the background. For women, exclusive Ferragamo accessories make up the story of a day spent at the sea. What emerges from Peter Lindbergh’s iconic shots is the celebration of the visual splendour of Salvatore Ferragamo’s style, combining tradition and innovation.
