Paris is training its spotlights on the catwalks from September 25 to October 1 to give us a preview of the trends for summer 2015

Fall is just around the corner, and there’s already a bit of nostalgia creeping in for summer. The “Big Four” – New York, London, Milan and Paris – are here to distract us and usher in a breath of fresh air. They are taking turns previewing the trends for Spring/Summer 2015.

As usual, Paris finishes things up. From September 23 to October 1 of this year, the Carrouselle du Louvre will be the stage of next summer’s new creations.

Paris fashion is at its greatest, bringing together its roots and taking them beyond its borders. Despite competition from other major European capitals, (London, Milan, and even New York), Paris’ fashion has a flair all its own. This is where the great designers of international fashion took their first steps, in prêt-a-porter and haute couture alike. The likes of Dior and Saint Laurent, to name just a couple, found their essence in Paris, drawing inspiration from its’ colors, whether the warm ones of Montmartre and the ¬Latin Quarter or the more ethereal ones of literary Paris.

As ever, this year’s line-up is full of major names of style, including Stella McCartney‘s British style, Balenciaga‘s avant-garde, Lanvin‘s femininity and Dior‘s peerless elegance.
