Since 2013 Jeremy Scott has been the creative director at Moschino. He made his debut with the autumn-winter 2014 2015 fashion show during Milan Fashion Week, with a collection that revolutionized the style of the fashion house from head to toe, but somehow recalled and brought back to life the spirit of its founder Franco Moschino. His fashion is animated by a cartoonish irony and boasts an array of colours, logos and animations related to Andy Warhol. There are also references to McDonald’s, Marlboro, Spongebob, Barbie, Mickey Mouse, Looney Toons or the Powerpuff Girls. A clever balance between pop culture and tack has allowed Moschino, under the guidance of a gifted creative director, to reach out to the millennials in every part of the world, “Fashion must give happiness, otherwise what sense does it make? We already have everything, and a lot of it, so why should we be attracted to something sad and boring? And we designers are the first to be among the luckiest in the world”. Since Jeremy Scott became Moschino’s creative director, his fashion shows have been an unmissable social event, attracting a host of celebrities, such as Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Rihanna and other pop stars, who have all appeared several times in the front row.
A Moschino by Jeremy Scott bag has an unmistakable, recognizable, extravagant and eccentric style. Backpacks, clutches, bucket bags, shoulder bags or hand bags are flooded with colours, prints, writing and details of all kinds. Extensive and glamorous, Moschino bags are the expression of a lively creativity that still finds its place in the hearts of women today.
