Avant-garde and artisan savoir-faire

The 2016 Spring / Summer 2016 collection by Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi pays tribute to the Maison Fendi values, perfectly embodying the eclectic and refined spirit that harmoniously combines cutting-edge innovation and artisan savoir-faire.

In classic Fendi style, the collection is romantic yet feisty, with clear-cut shapes and premium fabrics, simple lines and Victorian-inspired silhouettes with ruffs and puffed sleeves, but instead of embroidery and inlays, leather details make these ensembles look neat and modern. An elegant and romantic style expressed in balloon dresses and shirts, boasting softly-draped wide sleeves. Trousers are soft with elasticated ankles, while skirts are long and wide. Karl Lagerfeld‘s creative genius can be seen in black dresses made entirely out of mink, and jumpsuits in total pink or red. The collection boasts bags with flowery details and additional leather details, symbolising the perfect match between the dark and romantic side of every woman.

Mink details and flower decorations with studs are also part of accessories and shoes. Meticulous inlays speak of precious manual wisdom. The mini-bags come in pastel tones with flower and stud applications, while maxi bags are equipped with shoulder straps and python details and can also be hand-held. Sandals are often two-tone or decorated with large colourful flowers, velvet and laces on the upper.
