Valentine’s Day best looks

Valentine’s Day is around the corner. It celebrates love and gives you a great opportunity to celebrate. When love is in the air, why not indulge in a carefully chosen outfit by creating an unusual and original look.

Red is the colour of love par excellence, and although generally associated with the holiday season it is actually a shade that you can sport all year, if you want to look more feminine, elegant and make heads turn. Valentino celebrates amopre with a wool and silk mini dress and red collar, finely embroidered with beads arranged in the shape of a heart and the word Amour. Shades of red and burgundy give character to the silhouette gown by the Alexander McQueen team, set on a bodice covered in ethereal chiffon layers. Lanvin have opted for a darker shade of red and aubergine silk for ultra chic sophistication with barely-there fabrics falling down to the knee, clinging to the body and emphasising the waistline with a drawstring.

Lace can be an attractive choice for Valentine’s Day. A stunning combination of black lace and silver studs around the neck of a mini dress is Saint Laurent‘s choice, to be worn with high heels or knee-high boots. The classic mini dress comes in powder pink at Burberry London‘s, with their iconic ultra-feminine outerwear and signature check lining.

Spring is approaching, so make this an excuse to wear floral prints on Valentine’s Day. Flowers and butterflies dominate silk gowns at Gucci‘s, made even more chic with delicate ruffles on the collar and cuffs. Floral jacquard decorates woollen pullovers to give you a warm and casual style in shades of cherry, rose and azalea.
