Iconic prints

Capri, Portofino and St Tropez are the iconic prints by Emilio Pucci from the new exclusive Riviera collection, designed both for her and for him.
Umbrellas, sailing boats, small venues and lush vegetation alternate in the scenes depicted, evoking charming and dream-like holiday destinations. In the 50s Emilio Pucci began creating his exclusive prints made of abstract drawings and graphic prints, using in a rainbow of colours. Organic forms are mixed with geometric patterns that imitate contemporary art forms. Emilio Pucci incorporates optical illusions into clothing for a highly original effect, which has been copied in the years to come. Each print bears Emilio – the designer’s name – in a small hand-written form, marking the debut of the name as a logo.

Illustrations show a glimpse of the summer paradise at St Tropez, expressing the town’s carefree spirit and liveliness. Unisex shorts in silk printed twill can be worn as a beach dress or a casual summer dress with matching shirt. The Riviera Espadrilles take you straight to the next sunny holiday between Capri, Portofino and St Tropez. Made in printed silk twill, they have a classic jute sole and rubber bottom to guarantee a comfortable fit.

A scene of social life on the idyllic island of Capri, in the central square known as “the smallest theatre in the world” is printed on the front of unisex cotton t-shirts, while the back is white. The scene recalls the city of Portofino, not only as a maritime port but also as an attractive centre for upper-class holiday-makers. Unisex shirts come in printed silk twill, with a straight cut and long sleeves, presented in the iconic Portofino press and to be sported with matching shorts.
