Top tailoring, an iconic style and endless possibilities
To make a complete Brioni suite, master tailors work together with the customer in a harmonious dialogue of body, personality, needs and desires. The customer can choose the fabric, model and cut, as well as all the other details, such as the type of rever, buttons, inner lining, collar and cuffs. Unparalleled craftsmanship and exclusive fabrics bring to life a precious Brioni Bespoke garment, the pinnacle of men’s sartorial excellence. The selection of Brioni fabrics includes over 800 variations of wool, cashmere, silk and cotton, available in a wide range of colours and patterns. Each Brioni Bespoke garment is a unique creation, an emblem of the Italian sartorial tradition handed down from generation to generation.
Tailoring has always been second nature for Brioni. In 1959, Nazareno Fonticoli – a well-known tailor in Rome and founder of Brioni – and entrepreneur Gaetano Savini chose Brioni’s hometown Penne as the ideal setting to open a workshop of industrial proportions. The ambitious business was called Brioni Roman Style, and the company started an innovative concept of prêt-à-couture, combining the values of the Abruzzo sartorial tradition with an avant-garde vision. In order to safeguard their sartorial tradition, in 1985 Brioni opened the Scuola di Alta Sartoria in Penne, aimed at passing on his knowhow to a new generation of tailors. With its ethical values and handcrafting tradition, the Alta Sartoria school aims first and foremost at passing on an ancient tradition that runs deep under Italian soil.
