The book that tells an unforgettable history

Working together is of the essence at Bottega Veneta. To celebrate cooperation, the brand has decided to publish an exclusive book that tells the story of intertwining fashion, passion and art.

Each campaign tells something unique and original about our world. Tomas Maier, creative director at Bottega Veneta, started the Art of Collaboration project in 2002, involving internationally-known photographers and artists in the Maison’s seasonal campaigns. Over 1000 photographs, divided by season from 2002 to 2016, document these exceptional collaborations, summing up 14 years of valuable collaborations, including advertising campaigns that go beyond promotional efforts by calling upon various artists, who have infused the collections with multiple perspectives on the Bottega Veneta universe.

Fabien Baron, Todd Hido, Juergen Teller and Peter Lindenbergh are just some of the most important and renowned fashion photographers in the world, who have helped create this vision over the years. Tomas Maier has always been passionate about photography – he planned everything from the beginning, ever since becoming creative director at Bottega Veneta in June 2001.

Reflections, Bottega Veneta‘s spring / summer 2018 campaign features six distinct and deeply cinematic films, directed by Fabien Baron, presented as a series of anthologies to be published as episodes throughout the season. In its new form, the Art of Collaboration involves a team of talented collaborators to translate Tomas Maier’s vision, including cinematographer Philippe Le Sourd, set designer Stefan Beckman and producer / composer Johnny Jewel who has created a dedicated soundtrack.
