An agritourism resort in the heart of Tuscany

Nestled in the rolling hills of Tuscany, in the Siena countryside, between Pienza and Montepulciano, is the old Lupaia estate, suspended at the crossroads between art and nature. In the centre of Val d’Orcia, not too far from famous tourist locations of Siena, Arezzo, Florence or Perugia, is this oasis, where you will find the authentic peace of the countryside intact.

La Lupaia is an agritourism resort in the heart of Tuscany, standing on antique foundations that date back to over a thousand years ago, and the base of a manor house and its annexes that date back to 1622. Today’s owners, an Austrian family that personally manages the hotel, have created an intimate, romantic hideaway with splendid views of the surrounding villages, vineyards and olive groves.

Five stone houses contain the bedrooms and suites, and have been enthusiastically and carefully restored. Now they are ready to welcome those who want to enjoy the peace and wellbeing that these special places are able to convey to everyone. Every bedroom or suite at La Lupaia is unique. The hotel is divided into five old houses, each with enchanting views of the surrounding countryside and of the manicured gardens on the estate. Each area has its own distinctive, individual style, featuring elegant decor, and a wealth of atmosphere.

The heart of La Lupaia is a large open kitchen in the main house. This is where guests meet up in the evening to savour four-course meals, prepared using organic, seasonal produce, straight from our vegetable garden or sourced at one of the many local markets. The menu varies daily and includes both traditional Tuscan fare and classics from Italian cuisine.
