Experience a new Renaissance to the full

The Hotel dell’Orologio in Florence is inspired by the prestigious world of luxury watch-making for international buyers. In particular, it is inspired by the world of collecting vintage watches and has transformed some of the most beautiful pieces into decorative elements of great inspiration.

This passion for the magical world of watches is expressed at its best at the heart of Piazza Santa Maria Novella in Florence. The O was born as a hotel with strong personality and distinctive male nuances. The interior design, conceived by architect Marianna Gagliardi, focuses on extreme detail, offering a sensory experience in this eye-catching building that boasts distinctive looks and scents, brought to you through materials such as leather, parchment and brushed wood, which resembles the colours and smells of tobacco.

Each floor at Hotel L’Orologio is dedicated to a wrist watchmaker: Rolex, Vacheron-Constantin and Patek Philippe. And each room is devoted to a model, with photographic and pictorial representations that sum up their image by interpreting it with style. The 55 rooms are unique and boast a strong personality, thanks to the mahogany floors and furniture in leather upholstery, fabrics and fine velvets, alternating in ever-changing warm colours. In addition, bathrooms are entirely made of marble with mahogany details and equipped with rain showers or tubs and an illuminated magnifying mirror.

L’O’s bar, entirely covered in parchment, is on the ground floor. At the centre of the bar stands a mahogany bench and the whole environment is magically lit by a large water-lit pool of natural light. The bar is equipped with a smoking room and a fantastic lighted floor. A point of reference for the international and distinctive guest of the hotel, L’O bar opens its elegant lounge areas to the city for aperitifs, coffee breaks, light lunches and business lunches.
