The inspiration behind the 2018 collection
Handmade modernity by Ermenegildo Zegna translates into a mix of intense manual processing and contemporary features.
Ermenegildo Zegna has given birth to a wise dialogue between sartorial art and the demands of urban globe trotters. In his summer collection, artistic director Alessandro Sartori explored images that draw on a personal visual universe. The outdoor world meets the inner world in a cool summer breeze that pervades the fabrics and delicate shapes are illuminated by a flame of colors.
The linear background of one of the historic courtyards of the State University of Milan is the picture of a futuristic garden with meadows inside a labyrinth of aesthetic compositions. In this scenic setting, Ermenegildo Zegna presents his collection at the Milan Fashion Week 2017. Ermenegildo Zegna‘s spring summer 2018 show is a hymn to lightness, with fluid and almost impalpable fabrics, ready to be stuffed in a suitcase, everything being essential and precious. The suits are unique and fresh, the shirts and jackets are ultra lightweight in pure washed silk, jogging jackets have large pockets and are worn like anoraks. The color palette ranges from beige to burnt Siena, up to a large array of natural nuances interspersed with pastel tones and summery tones.
The Ermenegildo Zegna collection is as always an Italian sartorial tradition that is gives birth to sporty garments enriched with realistic content.
